Established in 1996, Golden Belt Community Foundation provides non-profit organizations in central Kansas with a permanent source of support and serves as a vehicle for charitable giving for donors. The Golden Belt Community Foundation serves the counties of Barton, Pawnee, Rush and Stafford.
The Catholic Charities of Southwest Kansas Endowment Fund is one of the organizational funds offered through the Golden Belt Community Foundation. We have also benefited from designated funds such as the Albert Gumbir Charitable Fund, the Larry and Kathy Schugart Donor Advised Fund, and the Health and Human Services Field of Interest Fund. In other words, Catholic Charities benefits from your support of the Golden Belt Community Foundation, and especially if you choose the Catholic Charities of Southwest Kansas Endowment Fund as the recipient for your gift. Catholic Charities is also a participant and beneficiary in the Golden Belt Community Foundation #GivingTuesday Campaign, a philanthropic movement focused on celebrating a new tradition of generosity. This year, #GivingTuesday falls on November 29th, 2016. Hoping to channel the generous holiday spirit, Golden Belt Community Foundation will host an in-person giving day to build local non-profit and community endowments. Individuals, families, and businesses are encouraged to donate in-person at the Catholic Charities office in Great Bend, at any of the five Golden Belt locations throughout Barton, Pawnee, Rush and Stafford Counties, or by mailing donations.
Finally, Catholic Charities is pleased to be a Golden Belt Community Foundation Partner Agency for the Prairie Godmother Fund, which enables us to complete and submit grant applications on behalf of women who are facing critical needs not met by other community resources.blog comments powered by Disqus
