This means that contributions made to our organization may qualify for a 70% Kansas state income tax credit for the donor, effective for tax years beginning after December 31, 2023. A qualifying gift to Catholic Charities of Southwest Kansas not only supports vital, no-cost pregnancy and family services for local women and families but also provides a significant reduction in your Kansas state tax liability. With our $1,000 minimum, your contribution will be both impactful and efficient for our mission. 

How to Participate 

  1. Complete the K-96 Application: Donors fill out the attached K-96 form and submit it with a minimum $1,000 contribution to Catholic Charities of Southwest Kansas. 
  2. Certification and Tax Credit Certificate: We submit the application to the Kansas Department of Revenue and provide the donor with a tax credit certificate upon approval. 
  3. File for the Credit: Donors claim the credit on their Kansas tax return using Schedule K-94, attaching the tax credit certificate.
