Goodshop is a digital database of coupons from around 40,000 online stores that donates a percent of your purchase price to Catholic Charities when you shop at one of 3,000+ partner stores including top retailers like Amazon (1.5% donation), Expedia (up to 5% donation), Staples (2.5% donation) and more.
Goodshop works through a browser plug-in called Gumdrop by Goodshop that takes about 30 seconds to install on your computer. Install the plug-in, and then do your online shopping as you normally do. Meanwhile, Gumdrop goes to work behind the scenes, searching for and giving you a list of the best coupons available on the web for the products and stores that you visit online. Simply choose the best coupon available, apply the savings at checkout AND make a donation to the nonprofit or school of your choice at no extra expense to you!
With Gumdrop, you no longer have to search for coupons, cut and paste coupon codes, or compare coupon values; this handy plugin does all of that for you! Goodshop also donates on your behalf to a nonprofit or school of your choice, as they have for more than a decade. They are able to do this because they receive an advertising referral payment whenever you shop at one of their retail partners. Goodshop directs 50% of this advertising referral payment to your selected cause. Since it began, the company has donated over $12 million to more than 114,000 nonprofit organizations like ours.
To get started with Gumdrop, you need one of the popular internet browsers: Firefox, Safari, Chrom, or Internet Explorer. Download Gumdrop and then shop online as you normally do. When you see the icon flash, you will know there money to be saved. You can hand-pick the coupons you want to use or simply activate them all to have Gumdrop automatically apply them at checkout.
“It is nice to know that with the shopping that you are going to be doing anyway, you’re helping a cause,” said JJ Ramberg, founder of Goodshop. “It costs nothing for a consumer. In fact, they can save money with the coupons, and they’re making a real difference.”blog comments powered by Disqus
