Mortgage Payment Relief for Eligible Homeowners
Harvest America is accepting pre-applications for Emergency Housing Loan Program (EHLP) services for qualifying Kansas homeowners from now until July 22, 2011 only!
The Emergency Housing Loan Program is designed to provide mortgage payment relief for eligible homeowners experiencing a decrease in income of at least 15% directly resulting from involuntary unemployment or underemployment due to adverse economic conditions and/or a medical emergency. EHLP is expected to aid up to 30,000 distressed borrowers, with an average loan of approximately $35,000.
In addition to a 15 percent decrease in income as a result of involuntary unemployment or underemployment due to economic conditions or a medical emergency, eligible borrowers must be at least three months delinquent on their mortgage, have a total household income equal to or less than the greater of $75,000 or 120 percent of area median income (AMI) previous to the loss of income, have a mortgage payment greater than 31 percent of current monthly income, and have a reasonable likelihood of being able to resume repayment once re-employed.blog comments powered by Disqus
